BIOGRAPHY

Ms. Guylene Berry was born and raised in Port-au-Prince Haiti. Upon migrating to Miami in 1997, she worked as a Creole interpreter in the medical and legal professions. For the past ten years, she has worked for the United States court system both as an interpreter and as a Court Mediator. In South Florida, she has worked as the official interpreter at the City of Miami Board of Commissioners meetings. Nowadays, Ms Berry is most certainly an influential Haitian personality in the South Florida area. As host and producer of the Koze Fanm radio show and the Bonjou Miami television program, she brings awareness to the issues affecting the Haitian community. Her media themes focused on economic, health, legal, political and social issues mostly affecting the Haitian community and more specifically Haitian women. Ms. Berry’s passion is to empower others to succeed.

On her shows Koze Fanm and Bonjou Miami, Ms. Berry has interviewed many personalities, experts and community leaders in different fields and walks of life. U.S. Congressman Kendrick Meek, the City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and Calvin Hughes Reporter/Anchor of ABC Local 10 News, just to name a few, have been guest speakers on her show.

In addition to being a radio and television personality, Ms Berry is a Public Relations Advisor to the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency. She is also a Promotions professional with the City of Miami. Currently Ms. Berry is pursuing a degree in Public Administration. Ms. Berry also plays various roles in a number of community organizations. She serves on the Board of the Carrie Meek Foundation. She is a member of the Community Affairs Committee of the Museum of Contemporary Art. She is the Executive Director of Positive Impact Foundation, Inc. a non-profit organization. The mission of this organization is to empower youths and their families with the motto: “Be the Change You Want to See”. Ms. Berry is a single mother raising two teenagers Jonathan and Natalie.
